Renault E-TECH Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles

With a plug-in hybrid you have the option of driving in 100% electric mode or using the environmentally efficient assisted combustion engine whenever you want.

Different from the full hybrid models, you need to plug-in a rechargeable hybrid vehicle to fully charge the electric aspects of it. plug-in hybrid also have higher capacity batteries that are assisted by regenerative braking technology.

If you have the ability to plug in and charge a plug-in hybrid car regularly (similarly to an elecrtric vehicle) then you will be able to hugely reduce your running costs whilst still having the combustion engine for the longer journeys you might need to take in one go.

Renault E-TECH Hybrid Engine Vehicles

A 'full' hybrid provides a combination of one combustion engine and two electric motors which essentially assist the combustion engine.

Renault E-TECH hybrid vehicles have a 1.6-L petrol engine paired with the two electric motors - an alternator and a traction motor - along with a 200V battery.

As an early adopter of electric and hybrid technology the E-TECH hybrid draws on the Renault brand's vast experience in electric technology to provide excellent performance and reliable electrically-powered vehicles. The energy recovery technology deployed under the bonnet expands the versatilities of electric driving making these engines the perfect gateway powertrain for anyone not yet convinced that electric driving is accessible for them.
